It’s really easy to autoplay video email in Mailchimp with Viewed’s integration. Everything is automated and you only have to follow these steps:

1. Create your template in Mailchimp.

Open your Mailchimp account and click create campaign, then click e-mail and enter the name of the campaign. Fill in all the campaign configuration fields and click the design email button.
Create a new temple or select one you already have. The only condition is that you need to have an image which will be replaced by the video on the Viewed platform. Take a look at the width in pixels of that image, to set the width of the video in the template when we are already in Viewed. Save the template by clicking continue.

2. Go to viewed.video and upload the video.

If this is the first time you enter Viewed, register please. Login to your account and click on upload video and start the process filling the form.

Then fill the form:

  1. Video name: It’s a name to identify the video in your list.
  2. Video file: you have to options:
    – Select a video from your computer. You can use the drag & drop system or click to search and upload.
    – Or introduce a youtube or Vimeo video. It is no needed to select file in the previous field.
  3. Video width: it’s the video size in pixels in your html template.
  4. Behavior: you can select autoplay, loop and mute and combine them as you want. The best combination is Autoplay + mute.
  5. Click on the green button “Upload Video”

When this process is finished, a section will appear with several options to integrate your video. Select the Mailchimp option.

3. Connect Viewed and Mailchimp.

If this is the first time you access, you have to connect your Mailchimp account with Viewed. Click on the connect button. Enter your Mailchimp username and password and click login. Give Viewed permission to view your campaigns by clicking Allow.

4. Select template.

Select the campaign in which you want to introduce the video. Click Add video.

5. Insert video in the template.

Your campaign will load and the images will have an orange border for you to replace with the video. Click on the image you want to replace with the video. Wow! you already have your video integrated.

6. Create your campaign.

Click on create camping and confirm that you want to save the campaign by clicking on Save changes.
